the new artist and great singer Victoria Griffith.
As producer of her new album, I got to know her very well and consider her a dear friend. To see her deal with some major health challenges during this complicated process of recording an album, and see her deal and overcome them with faith, grace and dignity, was a great inspiration to me.
Being able to help Victoria begin her music ministry and singing career has been one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had in the industry. She was a joy to get to know and then to be able to enter the creative process of choosing songs, cutting tracks and doing vocals.
Her skills and tender approach to interpreting a song was a wonderful discovery. I had heard her sing live, and she immediately reminded me of great singers such as Natalie Grant, Linda Rondstat, Martina McBride and Carrie Underwood. I could feel the heart and soul she put in a song, but to discover that ability would translate in the studio was very exciting; to be able to find that in a singer is not an every day thing.
